As we approach the end of the year it’s hard to believe that it has only been a couple of months since our first releases came out and we launched our site. In reality the seeds of the US side of Spark & Shine were planted in early 2009 with some emails and phone calls which culminated in a mini-Summit in New York to talk about ideas and see some shows. After that we set about the business of figuring out the business (an ongoing process to say the least) and finding the right bands for our fall releases. We really feel that the thread that connects our initial releases is QUALITY and it has been exciting to be involved with three great records.

So the release parties are done, the records are out… what next? Well, we are now offering The Tripwires and Curtains For You on vinyl and we’ll be adding things like t-shirts in the near future. A January Tripwires trek from Seattle to Boise is in the works and ReVoLt ReVoLt are currently on tour. There will be more tour dates and local shows for all the bands in the Spring, so check back. We’ll also be announcing some 2010 releases soon. We’ve added an “Upcoming” section where we will announce signings and preview future releases. The German side of the label is gearing up for some exciting new releases, too, and we’ll fill you in on some of that. Lastly, we’re adding a bio page to the site soon so you can get to know the people running things around here, but for now I’ll keep typing as “we”.
